Masked Intruder Watches Sleeping Woman in Marbella Home Invasion

A masked intruder broke into a Marbella home and spent an extended period watching a sleeping woman. The couple released security footage to local media. The video shows the trespasser entering their bedroom and shining a flashlight on her naked body. He kept coming back to watch Pilar as she slept next to her partner, Alex Varona, a jiu-jitsu instructor. The trespasser positioned himself at the foot of their bed while both victims remained completely unaware during the entire ordeal. Rather than stealing valuable items throughout the house, he focused primarily on her intimate areas.

Voyeuristic Behavior Over Theft

The intruder had access to expensive Apple devices, gold jewelry, and other valuables. Yet he took only 300 euros from Pilar’s purse. The couple discovered the break-in after noticing the missing money and reviewing their home security system.

That man didn’t come to my house to steal, he came to do something to me,” Pilar told local media. “He entered my room again and again to focus on me, to look at me. When I think about it, I get goosebumps.”

Alex Varona had returned home exhausted after winning two gold medals in a Brazilian jiu-jitsu competition, which may have left them more exposed that night. During an interview, he described the trespasser’s behavior as that of a “sick predator.”The thief entered up to 8 times to look at my wife and was more interested in her private parts than anything else,” he said.

Psychological Effects on Victims

What makes this case even more disturbing is how it affected the couple long after that night. Both victims still struggle with what happened, especially Pilar. Alex says she “felt violated.” More than a month later, they’re still afraid in their own home. They have added extensive security measures and maintain constant vigilance.

“It’s been a month and a half, and since then she hasn’t been able to sleep well or be comfortable in the house,” Alex explained. “We’re always worried about closing the windows, about the bars, checking locks multiple times before bed. Your house is supposed to be your space of trust. But now, since they’ve invaded that space in such a sick way, my wife feels quite uncomfortable.”

What happened goes far beyond a simple break-in. “They entered your bedroom, a place where anyone should feel safe and calm, and a sick predator came and was watching her,” Alex said. He emphasized how the intruder spent most of his time in their bedroom rather than searching other areas of the house.

Decision to Release Footage

Despite what they went through, Pilar and Alex faced another difficult choice. The couple initially hesitated to share the security footage due to concerns about privacy. Pilar appears completely naked in the recordings. The incident was reported to authorities several days after it occurred. Pilar was initially reluctant to come forward because the security cameras had captured her nude.

A couple in Marbella have released chilling security footage showing a masked burglar who entered their home, shining a flashlight over the woman’s body as she slept. After noticing they were missing about $350, the couple checked their CCTV footage, only to make a far more disturbing discovery — a masked man who had stood over them as they slept. Alex Varona, the woman’s partner, told local media that police said these kinds of robberies are common, but the “sick behavior” the intruder displayed, they said, is not. #spain #marbella #crime #crimetok

“At first she didn’t even want me to show the images. She didn’t want them to be exposed because she felt shame, since she appeared completely naked,” Alex said.

Family and friends convinced them that publicizing the incident could serve as a warning to others. Alex explained their reasoning”We took time to share the images out of respect for my wife and her privacy, since her body is visible, but people made us change our minds because it can serve to prevent, make us more aware and try to be safer.”

The couple hopes their experience will encourage others to improve home security measures. They suggest alarm systems, martial arts training, or just staying more alert. “I assure you that I would have known how to defend myself,” Alex noted, referencing his martial arts background.

Police Response and Investigation

Police told the couple that break-ins happen in their neighborhood, but they admitted this case was different. What made this one stand out, police said, was the trespasser’s “sick behavior.”

Police still haven’t caught the man, even with clear security footage. The investigation continues. The security footage provides clear evidence of the trespasser’s movements and behavior throughout the ordeal.

Bigger Security Concerns

The case shows vulnerabilities in residential security and the psychological effects of crimes that extend beyond a simple intruder. The incident occurred while Alex was in a state of exhaustion, which may have made the household more vulnerable.

The footage has spread across social media worldwide, sparking conversations about home security and how these crimes affect victims. Even though sharing the footage compromised their privacy, the couple went public, hoping to prevent a similar incident from happening to someone else.

This case serves as a clear reminder that home invasions can involve more than material theft. Predatory behavior can leave lasting psychological scars on victims long after the immediate crime has ended.
